The 2024 vintage will be remembered as a year of challenges, with a modest yield of just 17 hL/ha. A tricky spring—bringing hail, cold spells, and coulure—led to fewer grapes on the vines. But in the end, this turned out to be a blessing in disguise. The grapes that remained were carefully nurtured by our dedicated team, allowing them to fully express the authenticity of our terroir.

Despite an early budburst, harvest took place between September 27 and October 8,
right in line with recent years. What at first seemed like a fast-moving vintage ended
up taking its time, allowing us to achieve perfect ripeness for our Cabernet Sauvignon—one of the key challenges of 2024.
At Château Le Crock, harvest is more than just picking grapes; it’s a shared adventure.
Our core team and longtime harvesters come together each year in a unique spirit of camaraderie, making the experience truly special.
This year, every single grape has been dedicated to our Grand Vin—proof of our commitment to precision and purity. With naturally fermentable musts, we opted for short, careful vinifications, letting the fruit shine with as little intervention as possible.
Tasting the 2024 vintage, it’s all about brightness and freshness: crunchy fruit, elegance, and depth, all signature traits of Château Le Crock. Small in volume, big on emotion, this wine captures the essence of Saint-Estèphe in a beautifully pure expression.
